New Vintage Place wedding

Maddison & Brandon’s fall wedding

There’s something cinematic about a fall wedding in Grand Rapids — that cool, crisp air, the golden leaves swirling on the sidewalk, and the way the overcast sky softens every photo. Brandon and Maddison’s New Vintage Place wedding was exactly that kind of perfect.

A Classic Grand Rapids Setting

New Vintage Place, managed by Rye Venues, is one of those Grand Rapids spaces that balances industrial charm with timeless elegance. Exposed brick, towering windows, and warm wooden beams set the tone for a day that was both effortlessly stylish and deeply personal. The couple chose to hold both their ceremony and reception at the venue, transforming it from romantic vows to an unforgettable party under the same glowing lights.

I was my first time photographing a wedding there — the high ceilings, matte black walls, and spacious guest flow make it both visually stunning and incredibly functional. Every angle feels intentional, every moment framed beautifully against the venue’s bold architecture.

Fall Magic & Just a Hint of Rain

The day brought everything Michigan fall is known for — vibrant leaves, sweater-weather chill, and even a little drizzle that added just the right touch of atmosphere. The rain never interrupted a thing; if anything, it made the moments even more cozy and cinematic. Guests arrived bundled in excitement, and the entire day carried that crisp, November calm.

The Details That Made It Theirs

Maddison carried a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath designed by Rosie’s Little Posies, a classic pairing that looked stunning against her modern gown. The soft whites popped beautifully against the venue’s warm tones and fall colors outside.
Event planner Mackenzie from Farward Events kept the day running seamlessly — from the ceremony setup to the last dance — ensuring every detail reflected Brandon and Maddison’s personalities.

Family, Love, and Little Emilia

One of the most heartfelt moments of the day came from the presence of their one-year-old daughter, Emilia. Watching Brandon and Maddison share their vows while Emilia smiled from the arms of family was a full-circle moment — the start of a new chapter as a family of three. She brought joy, laughter, and those pure in-between moments that make a wedding day unforgettable.

Final thoughts

From start to finish, Brandon and Maddison’s Grand Rapids wedding was the perfect blend of urban, romantic, and authentic. New Vintage Place continues to be one of my favorite Rye Venues locations for how beautifully it photographs.

If you’re planning your own New Vintage Place wedding, imagine your story unfolding here — warm lights, black walls, and those unforgettable Grand Rapids moments that make it yours.
