This past Saturday, I had the honor of photographing Cameron and Sydney’s absolutely stunning wedding at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth, Michigan. Their day was filled with joy, elegance, and all the emotional moments that make a wedding truly unforgettable. With the planning and design expertise of Alexis from A Good Wedding Planner and Design, every detail was perfectly curated to reflect Cameron and Sydney’s timeless style and deep connection.
From the classic black satin bridesmaid dresses to the Garden Pavilion ceremony and candlelit reception in The Atrium, every part of their celebration was a dream to capture.
Saint John’s Resort is one of my favorite wedding venues in Michigan. It set the stage beautifully for Cameron and Sydney’s wedding. Nestled in Plymouth, Michigan, the resort has this incredible mix of timeless charm and modern elegance. A perfect match for the couple’s aesthetic.
The day began in the hotel’s Presidential suite, where Sydney and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The energy in the room was joyful and relaxed, filled with laughter, mimosas, and sweet moments between lifelong friends. Sydney looked absolutely radiant in her gown—clean lines, just the right amount of detail, and a silhouette that seemed made for her.
Cameron and his groomsmen got ready just down the hall. He looked incredibly sharp in a modern twist on classic black tie—a white tuxedo jacket paired with black tuxedo pants. The look was clean, bold, and effortlessly stylish. His boutonnière, a single white bloom with a touch of greenery, completed the look.
Cameron and Sydney exchanged vows at the Garden Pavilion at Saint John’s Resort, one of the most romantic ceremony locations in Plymouth, Michigan. Modern structure, chiavari chairs, and beautiful florals, the pavilion brought a perfect blend of elegance and calm to their ceremony.
Alexis from A Good Wedding Planner and Design styled the space with classic white florals and subtle greenery, letting the natural beauty of the Garden Pavilion shine.
The Garden Pavilion is the kind of venue that doesn’t need over-the-top decor to make an impact—it simply lets love take center stage. And on this perfect spring day, Cameron and Sydney’s ceremony couldn’t have been more magical.
The reception was held in The Atrium, one of Saint John’s Resort’s most breathtaking spaces. Alexis and her team transformed it into a romantic dream—warm lighting, elegant table settings, lush florals, and subtle black and white accents that brought everything together.
From the moment the dance floor opened, it stayed packed. DJ Fury kept the energy high all night long.
Cameron and Sydney’s wedding was one for the books. Every detail, every emotion, every beautiful moment was a reminder of why I love what I do. As a photographer, my goal is always to capture weddings as they truly are—epic, real, and full of heart—and this day was all of that and more.
To Cameron and Sydney—thank you for trusting me with your memories. I’m so excited for what’s ahead in your love story.
